Vellas, named after the Tamil word for "roaming and free", have roots in both Sheffield and Derby, with 2 members from each British city. They set out to write upbeat, melodic guitar songs informed by the stonewalls of Sheffield. Since their first gigs in September of 2015, they have recorded their Run E.P at 2Fly Studios, Sheffield which has been aired on BBC Introducing East Midlands.
